It should be remembered that some people start off in kit cars and then progress to Morgans. Not everyone can afford a Morgan, so as far as I am concerned, they give people enjoyment, and that is a very good thing for both the industry and MMC.

They represent unpretentious fun, and they make a good vehicle for the traditional trials. Every vehicle has a place IMHO.

I built a Marlin Roadster 25 years ago and also had a factory built Marlin Berlinetta 22 years ago. No bad for the price as i could not afford a morgan at the time. Some of the panels are GRP and bonnet and side panels are ally and fit realy well!! Shame Morgan can not fit a bonnet so well. The man who designed Marlin cars is a very good engineer who went on to build small submarines

You might be a little bit right there - they are quite popular on the Sporting Car Trials circuit! Acquaintance of mine built one, probably 20 years ago, but his was built low, as a sports car... I came close a few years later - liked the style... Might upset a few: but a reminder of the old Triumph 2000 Roadster?

Ooh no - if a Marlin was a girl (pardon the analogy) and I was single and desperate, and it was 1.55am in the nightclub - I still think I would have to pass.

I think there's something fishy about Marlins.

It's Marlin that fit a BMW M3 engine into one of their kits. Now that would really go!
"I asked him if he thought about Morgans he said they were too expensive for what they were.!!!!"
Well, I've always managed to convince myself that the cost of a car is not what it cost to buy new, but what you lose when you sell it. Am I right or just deluding myself?

You haven't lived until you've had an ugly night - surely you must have had one of those ! Usually involved too much alcohol and a little wager
