Has anyone replaced their windscreen with something more useful? I'm thinking that one without a break in the middle and about 5" higher and 4" wider would do the trick. Thoughts?

Why don't you play around with photoshop, till you get the perfect measurements..but try not to ruin the look of the m3w,a bit bigger might not be a bad idea but i wont now till i get my m3w

I have been thinking about making a low (15mm high) rain deflector in the middle, say, 5-10cm ahead of the windshield "line".

You will see from the following list of changes for the Australian version that there is a change in the windscreen department (second last) so it may pay to see what that is about.
" Different steering column Different steering wheel Dash padding added Higher roll-over hoops designed and added Padded head rests designed and added Repositioned front indicators Side repeater indicators added Side reflector added Reversing light added Third brake light added New wiring harness Wind deflectors, rather than screens Different mirrors"

I've been wondering about this too, getting ready for the colder weather ! I think the height is OK , but perhaps filling in the centre gap and a bit more protection for the drivers hand .

Wind deflectors, rather than screens
Without anything to go on, other than my gut feeling on English usage, I'd say it's the same, except that the polycarbonate "deflectors" are lower than what constitutes a screen according the ADR. I'm also interested what they mean by: Hopefully that doesn't mean they're installing some short "race" mirrors instead of stalked ones. The higher roll-over hoops might just a design disaster in the looks-department. Luckily, it shouldn't be too difficult to cut them shorter from the bottom up.

If you go for a larger screen you may also have to fit wipers to remain legal. That could end up being a fairly big job depending how much of the linkagae you want to hide from view. I am not sure at what point a "wind deflector" becomes a windscreen and needs wipers.

I await the factory solution with interest.
I like the sound of a central one in between existing screens.
