I tried to get on to Melvyn Rutter's website (www.melvyn-rutter.co.uk) but noted that as soon as their web page appeared on screen, the website address changed to www.morgan-motors-cars.com! Then I tried to contact their parts department using the emails given in that website; but it seems that none had gotten through - presumably lost in cyberspace! In short, they are not contactable on line! Can anyone on TM help, pls? Chris

That is the correct address and for parts, you need: http://www.morgan-motors-cars.com/parts/PartsDepartment

He's got a redirect on melvyn-rutter.co.uk Quite common in the business world where a preferred address is different from the domain now used. This address dates from 2001 and the com one he now uses dates from 2000 so a bit odd really.

The BBC does it, but the other way around, bbc.com diverts to bbc.co.uk, or does for UK IP addresses.

I was getting a bit grumpy with their site the other week at the lack of images and the request image part, particularly on clothing so sent and received the following message.

Sent: 12 August 2013 08:40
To: Melvyn Rutter
Subject: Website

Hi,

Frustrated with your website under parts - no image of clothes -
essential.

Suprised how someone as professional as Mr Rutter can allow such a poor
site.

Hello David
Thank you for your email.
We have in excess of 2500 different parts and accessories. Trying to
take images of all of these is difficult all at once.
We have been ploughing our way through this very time consuming task. We
will then upload them onto the site in one hit. If people want an image
of a particular item I can usually oblige. We have our own leather
flying helmets but get the Morgan factory clothing in to order. The
Morgan factory keep changing what is available from them and it is hard
to keep up. Certain design, certain sizes, all of a sudden may become
unavailable from them.
I hope this helps you understand the position.
Very best wishes

Melvyn

The website does work..I managed to order something today! The lack of photos and slightly cumbersome layout is frustrating but I find it works well in conjunction with their catalogue...which hasn't a price list with it at the moment!

Max, I've recently been in contact with MR(need new tyres), can't remember which email I used, but I had a reply from 'Workshop'- service@melvyn-rutter.net
I hope this is helpful, Gerry.

I appreciate that for TMers outside the UK, the website is important; but I have always telephoned "Uncle Melvyns".
So helpful and always fantastic service.
No links, just a happy customer
