Friday is Roadster day.....having a front valance fitted (as per the Brooklands) which means over-riders removed. Front spoiler, i think they call it. It's a very nice detail. Standard on +4 Super Sport, Baby Doll and Roadster Brooklands. So that part is possible to buy and retrofit on other cars? Did your dealer sort that deal out? /Erik

Hi Erik I saw a spoiler on another Roadster and liked the look. I've always felt that the front end sits a little high and the addition of a spoiler lowers the look - as well as hiding some of the front suspension. Just an opinion, I understand that it may not be to everyone's liking. After seeing the standard fit on the Brooklands I asked the dealer if the could source one before I took delivery. They went to the factory to pick one up, had it painted in matching grey and the fitted photo sent through today looks splendid - wish I could figure out how to post one... As I say, it's over-riders or spoiler, not both but I'm pleased with the photographic look. The proof will be on Friday when I collect. What spec have you ordered?

You can post a photo in the photo section - uploading to the forum, using a new thread. Don't try to add one in a thread in any of the photo sections, there is a bug in the software. Alternatively, post your photo on a photo hosting site, e.g. Photobucket, and then put a link to it within a post in any non-photo thread. Clear as mud I expect. There are guides to posting photos at the top of several forum sections... Back to the 'spoiler' If you get the height right, it could be a good pre-warning that your sump may not clear an obstruction in the road (you did say it was a 3.0ltr?)...

Cheers G - I will try and wade through the mud. Mine is the 3.7 - up early to go and collect - is the low sump still an issue with the latest engine?
Nice spec Erik, I've just received my chassis rail covers in the post from Morgan shop, very nice they are. I was a bit surprised by the 'raw' unfinished look so ordered some straight away. I think I will also need the protective plastic due to no tread rubbers - any suggestions folks as to where to get fitted?
Last ride in the M3W coming up...will report on the transition to 4 wheels in due course.

Last ride in the M3W coming up...will report on the transition to 4 wheels in due course. I have the 3.7 Roadster and the sump is much improved. The Roadster, probably in common with most Classics, does not like the square sleeping policeman type humps (the square ones in the middle of the lane) - travelling over these dead centre and they will scrape the underside but not damage the sump. Best to take them at an angle with the wheels on one side going over the hump. The chassis rail covers are very nice and I was pleased I ordered these. The fit is very tight on them (or it is on mine) so if you remove them at any point to clean them you have to be careful not to score the leather on either side with the sharp edges. My rail covers have become very scuffed - but they still look a lot better than the bare rails. As to the protection film for the treads these are the people Morgan use - http://www.covertechmidlands.com/Any Morgan dealer can get them or another specialist to come out and fit the film. I think its essential for the wings even when you have tread rubbers.

Hi JP, Couldn't remember whether you were getting a 3.0 or later 3.7. The 3.7 is much better as David says. David, agreed on those humps in centre lane, smacked the gearbox x-member on one coming out of Bradford on Avon in Tinkerbelle the +4 - fully loaded for a holiday and had set line up to miss hump when some muppet in a BM* decided he was going to pass the parked car on his side of the road. Nearly had me in the kerb, not time for a blast from lights or horn. Mind you, the bang was so loud it scared the s*d Didn't do much for 's nerves either Must be difficult to get them right in a 3W!

Hey, JP. I remember reading about your bike in 'Gambalunga'. Your Guzzi is one of the nicest cafe racers I have ever seen before.
Axel Budde has a great eye for detail. I wonder what he would do if he got his hands on an MW3 ?

I am currently up in the Lakes on Morgans at Windermere and done about400 miles plus getting there. Prior to leaving Scarlett had a good greasing/chain lubeon lefa springs and ACF50 on the inter-panel piping/underside areas. The majority of squeaks a d creaks have gone. I was at the Williams/Autofiness day and the guys at Williams stressed the need to oil the body piping and it has worked. I previously used a thin oil but that ACF is better in my opinion,CAREFULLY sprayed with cloth protection. Any reason why WD40 can't be used instead of ACF? - seems similar.

WD40 works by attracting water - do you really want to put that in the interpanel spaces????
