Hello and welcome we come from just up the road and it was while at Kirklevington country club ( a stones throw from you ) years ago I drooled over a yellow mog . It stuck in my head went to my heart then diverted to my wallet . I know some cracking roads just off the A66. It's a small world! I lived in Kirklevington before moving to Yarm and the Country Club (now built on I'm afraid) was a favourite haunt when I were't lad... got a bad feeling - now that you've put the idea in my head - that I'll be taking a longer route across the Penines. Amazing the different thoughts that occur when driving is a pleasure rather than a task.  Cheers Richard

I recommend Stokesley to Helmsley B1257, then to Kirkbymoorside and Hutton le Hole, over the top via Blakey Ridge for the Red Lion, back via Commondale. Brilliant moors views in all weathers!
