I have just taken my front wing off as there was the first sign of corrosion creeping up from the beading under the door. (See Wing off in Classic Morgans) The problem with mine is the stainless steel wood screws that secure the stainless channel that hold the rear of the front wing. They are causing the alloy to corrode. The water tends to pool in this area and this is causing galvanic corrosion.
Oiling the beading has not helped as the oil has not reached the screws but the water obviously has.
I have bought some ACF 50 and will use this on reassembly.
I am however, insulating the stainless from the alloy using techniques learned from boats.
