Has anybody had an ecu upgrade from the factory / dealer to remove the hanging revs issue on the 3.7 V6 engine?

No... I didn't know there was an ECU upgrade.

There is another regular here who has this problem too.

I have heard about the ECU upgrade. Don't think I have any hanging revs on my car.

No throttle cable - driven by wire.... banghead

So the issue lies a bit deeper....

No more spannering & standard logics applicable... ooo

Describe the 'hanging throttle issue'.
When it happens and how it behaves.

There is some earlier discussion on this topic here http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/129974/Re_New_Roadster_Clutch_Gearbox#Post129974

Quote from the above post,

[I have an early Roadster and can confirm the revs have always hung and this is my biggest bugbear with the car. I have learnt to live with this by changing up through the box slowly to enable the revs to fall off between gears. However I had a serious trouser moment recently when the car broke traction on a damp road in third, lit up the rear wheels and I was unable to back out of the throttle BEWARE it is not entertaining.
I reported this in writing to the factory back in June 2012 when the car went in for its first service and at the time there was no fix but now I feel there needs to be.
I have just returned from California where I deliberately hired a 3.7 Mustang I could not get that to misbehave in the same way..]

Car is booked for 10,000 mile service at the the factory and this issue is at the top of my snagging list.

I drove the latest Brooklands edition 3.7 a couple of weeks back (a demonstrator) and that was great fun apart from the hanging engine revs. Made changing gear really awkward and also made the car much slower, because the synchromesh struggled to allow the next gear in.

In almost every other way it was the nicest 'trad' I've driven so it's close to being great.

Any word on a fix for this? My Brooklands gave me a bit of a wake up yesterday when the revs hung on upshifting to second (first time I had given it significant beans...) and chirped the rears!
