I'm not suggesting he was wrong to try to market improvement packages for the ThreeWheeler, just think like Martin that is was handled in the wrong way.

The copy of the email to Mark Evans / Aero & MMC does state that it is an "Open" email.

This is from Google, yes I know, well I'm not putting it writing, so please don't start on that one.

"At Google we believe that open systems win. They lead to more innovation, value, and freedom of choice for consumers, and a vibrant, profitable, and competitive ecosystem for businesses. Many companies will claim roughly the same thing since they know that declaring themselves to be open is both good for their brand and completely without risk. After all, in our industry there is no clear definition of what open really means. It is a Rashomon-like term: highly subjective and vitally important."

I personally think that this thread could have been a lot better if it had actually discussed the engineering merits of either RS&S design versus Aero / MMC.

Instead of becoming a you said this and that thread.

Just my two penneth.

I work on a lot a Morgans and love Morgans. I love that Morgan have always tried to stay true to their heritage and spirit. A percentage of Morgan owners are purists and appreciate the "vintage feel" of the Morgan ride but the new 3 Wheeler is not cheap and most owners expect more.
I have driven a Miata and a Triumph Spitfire that Fatcat Motorsports modified/redesigned the suspension. Both cars were transformed. They designed a "wishbone" rear suspension for the Spitfire instead of the "stock" transverse rear leaf, car was amazing to drive.
The 3 Wheeler is a work in progress. Like any car manufacturer I am sure Morgan will address problems and make improvements as they build cars and see where problems lay.

The Fatcat boys (and girls) sound fantastic. Why doesn't Morgan do a deal with them for chassis / suspension design or improvements if they're that good. Can't see how it wouldn't be a win / win / win for MMC, Fatcat, All of Us???

Or if that is impossible for all sorts of legal / commercial good reasons (and I can think of a good few in 5 seconds) then how about Aero Racing getting involved with them?

It would be nice if Blake would return to the fold (you still out there Blake?) and post his experience with the Fat Cat upgrade...but it looks like he may be gone...

It'd also be interesting to hear from anyone with the Spax adjustable shocks from Aero Racing .

I'M BACK!!!!

sorry for the radio silence boys and girls but to be honest I become a bit saddened by how things had started to go in the aftermath of Kevin's post and felt like i needed some time off.

Was also bad timing as my car was just returned to me after 2 months in the shop. yes you read that correctly, 2 months. I don't want to go in to details right now but needless to say I haven't been in such a great mood as it pertained to morgan and my three wheeler.

here's the good news, the car is back and sorted out and i feel like i've finally gotten the attention of morgan and my dealer as it pertains to getting things sorted out.

now that i'm back I'll tell you all that the fat cat fix is still alive and well. I no longer feel like the car is actively trying to kill me. really is such a delightful fix and is about to get even better. FatCat contacted me shortly after the whole thing with morgan and kevin went down and told me that they wanted me to bring the car in to get a revised design for the risers as they wanted to put to bed the issues that morgan brought up of not having a washer as a fail safe in the design. they said the new bits and labor would be free of charge. amazing service and I can't begin to stress how much it changed/fixed the bump steer issue.

part of the reason I feel so confident in the fix is the fact that i put over 5,000 miles on my morgan pre-fix and can say that the last 1000 i've just put on has been night and day difference when i hit up my favorite roads here in northern california.

didn't want everyone to think i dropped off the face of the earth, just need a break from things and now back to enjoying the morgan.

attached is a pic from my first day back with the morgan on my favorite coastal route in marin.
