I see on Morgans Facebook the first shot of the new Morgan Motoring Jacket by Timothy Everest. Apparently Charles was modelling it at the Best of Britannia show this week!

I was rather hoping for something a tad more practical....more pockets and room to wear a sweater under it for cold weather! I think it is at least showerproof.

Perhaps it is simply a poor photograph but from that one pic, it looks quite sorry for itself. Someone on the Mog facebook page commented that they have seen tramps wearing similar jackets and I am inclined to agree. The material looks distressed and the cut is akin to something Chairman Mao would have worn. Not impressed at all, although there is little doubt the price will impressive.

Whoever Timothy Everest is I think has a rather odd sense of humour. Probably more suitable for a night in a gay bar, if that is your bag.

What a bizarre looking jacket.

I doubt any Morgan owner will buy one - and surely that was its purpose?

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I think that CM is a bit of a fan of TE......suspect that his recent bright blue suit worn for Prince Charles's visit was by him. It's all part of his campaign to make Morgan THE trendy brand.

To achieve that you either need to be aware of what is on trend or creative enough to make the trend; I see proof of neither.

In my humblest of opinions, there is something quite sad about an older man trying too hard to be hip. I believe style comes from being comfortable with oneself and not constantly trying to impress others.
