I would not say you are a large fit at all, and looked quite well turned out at Shelslsy, maybe a bit more colour though to contrast the black innocent

Best jackets for open top driving are either made from Harris Tweed (very durable but not to warm for the Spring/Autumn) or leather. I have been hankering after an Irvin flight jacket for a while but I am taken by the picture of Gambalungas Monza jacket which looks very stylish and less bulky.

I am regretting a little that I chose the Irwin Lightweight for myself last year rather than the Monza. It is a great jacket but it is a little bulky in the car. Alis complains that when I am wearing it I don't leave her any arm room. I think the Monza, being slightly lighter and more supple, would still be just as warm and is certainly less bulky with a slightly closer fit. I think the finer lamb's wool probably has a better insulation for its weight than the sheep's wool. Aviation Leathercraft did tell me that they could make a flying jacket using the lambskin of the Monza but it would have more seams (lambs are smaller than sheep, they explained doh) .

In any case Alis is very pleased with it and she looks great wearing it.

You lot puzzle me. How anyone could contemplate spending £700 on a leather jacket just for driving a car is incredible. Or maybe I'm just out of date.

I use a Musto blouson jacket, water resistant with a fleece lining and a nice collar. Plus the car's heater . And a Musto baseball cap with the little lanyard thingy that clips to the jacket collar.
