Do you remember your feelings the first time you drove a Morgan?
Yesterday I drove my first time a Morgan the feelings were incredible, after many years waiting this moment.
Thecnically the brakes, the pedals position and the steering wheel are very diferent from others cars.
Another feelings is to be afraid to damage the car with the short maneouvres.
But finally I feel my heart was going to go out through my mouth, it worked more than very quickly

Sounds great.
I remember mine...the car had been in my garage but was not licenced (delivered via truck). I got it ready for it's local version of a MOT and drove it to the test station (in the rain - first rain in months) and it was love at first drive. Everything I had hoped for.

The first Morgan I drove was a red Plus 8 in 1992. I took it on a test drive from Libra Motive - this dealership is no longer around but one of the directors went on to found Librands. It was a fantastic experience but the thing I remember the most was a small boy standing dumbfounded and pointing at the car. It was also love at first drive and as soon as we got back I coughed up my £250.00 deposit and settled down for a 5 year wait. To keep me going in the meantime I bought a Morgan mug

Yes I remember, I drove Rosie my first Morgan early May 2011 at Berrybrooks, it was a nice sunny day. I drove her for about 15 miles towards Dawlish an back. Twisty roads and a variety of surface and bumps. I was pleasantly surprised, easy to drive, quick, and great fun, I was hooked. I spent another couple of hours looking Rosie over and other newer Morgans, but I new I had already decide really, and paid the deposit and collected her a week later.

It is a memory I'll not forget.
The very first was an early "long door" 4/4 at a dealers and despite the unique dynamic characteristics and lack of power it made me smile. I wanted one.
Then after trying a number of +4 cars we drove the Roadster we now own. Chalk and cheese...the power, the noise...I HAD to own it. So we do.

March 2011. I was looking for a decently restored TR3 and had been shamed into visiting the factory for a tour by a couple of German Plus8 owners I met in Munich the previous year. Sat in a 4/4 in the visitor centre, a day later was back for a test drive.
It was raining, getting the side screen under the hood flap was a nightmare, the wipers didn't clear the screen, the driving position felt strange with the wheel so close to the chest, don't mention the weird handbrake! The car kangaroo'd away from the factory, needing clutch slip and revs to get it going, the brakes felt crap, the steering heavy. Everything creaked and groaned and rattled as did my teeth over bumps and potholes. And I could have sworn that the bonnet seemed to flex when cornering. I looked for a radio then realised that I'd never hear it over the flapping hood and rattles.
After an hours run I drove back to the factory and told them I'd have it!

Great story Jays!!! when I test drove the factory M3W I thought thank god I do not like it!! But one year later I bought one!!!

My first drive of a Mog was a Rover 4 speed +8. From Mike & Ben Duncan. I couldn't justify the price at the time (but I should have done) with work on the house etc. Then RTA appeared and that really grabbed me - the simplicity and basic driving took me back another era...

My first Morgan drive was a 1956 +4 when I was 14 (private road of course) . My second drive was the test drive for my own Morgan. It was 1982 and it was a 1970 moss box plus 8. I was 24 and paid £3000 for it.

Mine was last year. I told my wife that I was going to test drive a Morgan and she said don't come home with it! So finally figured out with the help of Melvyn Rutter how to get in the three wheeler without knocking the wing mirrors, pressed the starter button and all of hell was was let loose with the noise and vibrations and we were off, once Melvyn had released the handbrake  What sold it was the sensation of speed, I thought I was speeding in a 40mph area when I looked at the speedo I was only doing 20mph ! That sensation has sadly gone now, well it's there at 110mph on the autobahn
