Melvyn's

MMC (drilled) one

I think Melvyn will do the wood in a dark stain / dark wood as well. Easy access to the boot still with MR's. You have to take the rack off with MMC's drilled one to gain access to the boot, which is a bit of a pain especially when fully loaded. Although I wouldn't want to lift the boot up with anything heavy on it anyway.

Main reason why I went for the MMC one is that it can be completely removed when not in use and you can carry a larger case etc.

Donaldosaurus,
Many thanks, Mr. Rutter sent me his catalog a while back. I would prefer the MMC version, which is why I ordered it and paid for it. Just don't have it yet.
thumbs cheers

The Rutter one looks a tad tacky IMHO but perhaps handy for carrying your luncheon box.

The Melvyn's one looks very cheaply made to me almost as if you just cut two pieces of 2x4 with a bit of a curve and called it a day.

Also, in those photos, is that an accurate depiction of the toe-out of the front tires, because if so, sheesh!

Mmm the MMC version is the best solution IMHO.Am going to try the Dry Bag with bungees round the roll over bars myself.

I think this could work very well - will report back when I try - which will not be until Spring now!!

It will block the filler cap tho:((( scared
