I quite like my factory standard leather wheel. I certainly prefer it to the thin wood rimmed wheel on my +4... Just wish I could raise it an inch (Steady!! ) Could you lower the seat? Having sat in a "new" one this week I was surprised how low the seat was and how it didn't make much difference.

This (seat height) is about the wooden spacers fitted and then deleted with the revised 3 dial dash. Check the seat runners Graham and if there are spacers, you know what to do. An offset steering wheel is another solution but boy they jar on the eye......................

Hmmm, Trouble with that is I like the height the seat is at. I have slightly better visibility than with the old car, certainly better for those sharpish left turns where one could quite easily kiss the kerb if not careful. Present height is right for top of door (elbow) and view around that central mirror... And I have one of Librands smaller mirrors that I never got around to fitting to RTA. Cheers,

Sincere thanks. I will be careful! Hi G, Have a look at the Moto Lita web site. They do a boss kit and horn pushes specifically for Morgan. A lot of owners choose the riveted wooden rim. I have chosen the leather covered rim as I prefer not to wear gloves. Also you may want to chose a different diameter, I went for a 14 inch diameter, As against the standard 15 inch. To remove the standard steering wheel, you need to remove two 3mm hex bolts and 1 cross head screw? The steering wheel is held on by a 19mm nut and be careful not to break the horn cable.

Legroom is fine - After my first day out. No problems! The Brooklands wheel is beautiful, but expensive! G If leg room is not an issue I'd give the offset wheel a miss. Other options for wheels although more expensive, are the ones by Steve Simmonds Simmonds which are beautifully made or the new factory Brooklands wheel....if they have resolved the horn push. Good tip about leaving the nut on....got caught out years ago with that!

Very helpful advice. Many thanks. The steering wheel looks stunning though! Rgds G Garret,
I have a Moto Lita wheel which I love. It has the look and all the period/ classic ambience etc. One thing I find though is that it feels 'thin' in my hands. Depending what you're used to etc this may not be an issue. If I'd held the wheel before ordering I would not have chosen this - and although it's a very big part of driving the car, hasn't really ruined the experience. If at all possible .. then go grab a few. Maybe at a dealer/ or event. If you're buying a new wheel you might as well have the thing that feels right for you. Mota Lita and many other wonderful brands have great options. I just chose wrongly and am reminded of it each time I drive the car. It's on my list 'to change' but I still love the look of it.
Hope this helps.

Paddy, what a shame. That was a very kind offer. I am only picking this message up now. Busy day yesterday and drama in the rain collecting the car but all fine. I sent you my eMail by PM last week (I hope!) and my number is 0876662277. The next time you are in town, let me know and we must meet! Rgds G Garret - ring me on 0862423031. I am in town right now and could show you the Simmonds wheel in my car if you like!
