Driving in the rain today I decided the height of the screens is fine for me, not being very tall , but I would like an extra deflector to protect my right hand . Hopefully it would also stop water being channeled onto my right knee.

My next project I think .

I find the problem with the aeroscreens is that, at my height I either have to tip my head to the right to look over it, or to the left to look through it. If I keep my head in the middle, I have one eye looking over and one eye looking through, so I'm always moving my head from side to side, after an hour or so it gets a bit annoying.

I agree about the right kneed,it always gets the water streaming back and into the cockpit right there, doesn't it?

It's in keeping with the look of the car and is something similar to my own ideas.

Not so keen on the headrests though. Perhaps a faired in one would look better.

thumbs Anybody know where to get it ? cheers

I think Kevin's screen looks amazing but would imagine the regulators over here in the UK would insist on windscreen wipers, washers etc which would make it unaffordable

I wonder if as a tricycle it would need wipers etc ?
Some bikes have massive screens and they don't need them. ..
Probably another 'grey' area.

Not a grey area in the UK, albeit a frequently misunderstood one.

If a motor vehicle has a windscreen, you have to look through, it needs wipers AND a washer. Aeroscreens and deflectors are deemed something one can look over, and thus not need wipers and washers.

If you changed the screen for a windscreen, you'd need wipers and washers, but it would be a construction and use matter, strictly an MOT test fail if you hadn't, but contruction and use violations one can get away with for years, then VOSA might throw the book at you!

like i've said before in other posts (the infamous suspension posts) that kevin is good peoples and his dedication and willingness to take on crazy projects is unmatched.

I've been fortunate to see kevin's windscreen from back when it was just an idea, then a team of crazy guys with ideas and talent, then the prototypes, and now the one he has on his car.

i've also been fortunate enough to drive the car and i have to say it changes everything. actually feels like a convertible vs a motorcycle in regards to getting blasted in the face with the wind and mist/rain.

I'll be meeting up with kevin on saturday and will tell him the forum is itching for more info on the screen as i'm not at liberty to say anything else.

long story short, this is another example of someone begin driven by an idea, assembling and awesome team, and throwing some serious money behind doing it right. god bless the guy as he's got a much bigger appetite than i do as it pertains to these things

A pity his motives were misconstrued. The forum may come to realise it has shot itself in the foot.
