Just taken delivery of new V6 Roadster Very Pleased Overall
However when it rains I have a puddle of water to the right of the handbrake on the transmission tunnel
Anyone any ideas

The only thing i could think of was that the rainwater get blown thro the heater vents just my 1/2cent.

Some of the night owl members here should be able to give you better advice later on tonight

You take it out in the rain...?

Have you checked the seal where the roof meets the top of the windscreen?

A question that may sound silly at first: when you close the roof, do you do it alone? I.E. pull it up, lock one side down and then run around and lock the other?

The reason for this question is sometimes you can 'seal' the roof on an angle (I used to have this issue with my Aero) and while it looks closed, the roof isn't aligned as well as it can be.

The way around this is to close the roof with a person on each side, or if doing it alone, make sure you apply pressure to the middle of the roof (from the outside) when closing it - and then jump inside the car and lock down the two clamps at once. This should give a much better seal.

Try this and see if it makes a difference.

If not, the hood may not be sitting true to the windscreen and therefore will need to go back to the dealer to be sorted.

The leak is not from the hood
It is from under the dash so looks like it comes from the scuttle
It also does not seam to leak when on the move only when parked

I would suspect water coming down through the heater both my 4/4 used to & now my +4 does this when being washed.

You can buy a storm cover to cover & that worked when my pride & joy was parked outside due to furniture being in the garage whislt we extended our house.

The old bulkhead joints used to leak as well but I thought the factory had fixed this one now. Try lying in the footwell with the bonnet open and a bright light shining down on the engine bay... see if you can see light anywhere.

Have you sorted out your problem yet? If so, what was the cause?

I have the same problem with our new Roadster, it leaks when stationary or on the move. It comes in from behind the dashboard somewhere and drips onto the leather next to the handbrake.
I'll try and get a better look at it soon, but any other ideas are very welcome.

Not sure but I put some vaselin around the screws which hold the bonnet hinges
Up to now have not had any water around the handbrake
Hope I have fixed it but not convinced
