Very smart. Your clock is a good filling for that space.

Well, that machine turned centre panel looks lovely John, great contrast with the gloss black dashboard, really lifts the interior. Worth all the (your!) effort... IMHO thumbs

Re the wing top lights, funnily enough I had a problem with one of mine recently (on the near side). I assumed it was a failed bulb, but no. It turned out to be a connection pulled out under the wing. There are a pair of bullet connectors (+ve & -ve) near the wing stay bar, and the +ve wire had pulled out of the bullet, so it was a simple re-crimp for the repair. May be that your lights are just not connected there... hopefully smile

Hello Jay---Do you remember our pub lunch during a MMC factory visit a couple of years back----I also bought a Mig clock off Ebay with a black face, which before I fit (or have fitted because unlike you I lack the courage and know how) I will need to repaint ivory to match my Roadsters ivory retro instruments. It will be enough of a challenge to paint the digits, but I am game for that part at least.

Really impressed how you have made yourself an original one-off dash---really fantastic---and a real improvement to boot!!

All the best!

Hi David! Yes I remember our pleasant lunch quite clearly......and recall you clambering into the Plus8! Good luck with painting the clock face...a steady hand! You do have some skills I recall. At least the clock comes apart easily...I took the front off to strip and polish the bezel.
Cutting the hole isn't too bad but because of its shape there is no room for error..you can't straighten up the clock by turning unlike the usual dash clock!

I look forward to some photos in due course!

All the best.

Backbreaking work in a cramped garage! Still...it's all in, looking good and the glove compartment looks a lot better for the mesh.

The next job Phillip? I want to get the wing top sidelights working......the wiring seems to go off somewhere under the wings so a bit of grovelling tomorrow.

Really lovely job. Once you've got the wing lights working, you might want to think about fitting Led's, I have fitted 14 LED ones, nice and bright in the daylight. cheers

Thanks Adrian. I picked up a set of led bulbs a while ago meaning to put them on the 4/4.
