Sirs, I have good news!
Today I not only managed to slide into a three wheeler, I actually fitted comfortably enough to drive one.
Thank you all for your comments, they've all been taken on board and special thanks go to the MMC demo car team who undertook to successfully move the pedal box assembly into a fourth position.
Piggy bank raiding plans now in progress..

My other comment on this involves an opinion, which is entirely mine, which has nothing to do with anything... The young man what designed this car is shorter than 5'10", weighs less than 150 lb., does not have arthritis or excessive wear and tear on his body and doesn't care one wit about this subject at all...

I moved mine, took me about an hour, I can now slide down in poor weather and look through the wind deflector instead of over over it thus keeping a lot dryer.

Looking at Steves photo of the pedals, it looks as if they have moved the base bracket to the right a little. This makes sense, because, on RHD cars at least, if the pedals are pushed to their furthest position, the clutch cylinder will foul the end of the footwell, by moving them to the right, there is a little more clearance at the bottom. New holes will have to be drilled of course. For those moving their pedal boxes, note that not all the holes in the floor are drilled into the metal reinforcing plate on the floor. Don't ask how I found out........
My biggest problem is not being able to stretch my left leg, and I have to drive with it partially bent, which then puts more weight on my right buttock, and after an hour or so, numbness starts setting in. In spite of my lifting the front of the seat on wood blocks to support a partially bent leg.

I have the slightly longer car but I still cannot stretch my left leg, I have to drive with it bent to clear the clutch. I have lifted the front of the seat a bit & that helps. Over a 2 hour drive I dont get numbness but I use an Airhawk inflatable cushion that I had for my scooter. There are various sizes & shapes for bikes trucks & planes. There is a budget version but its unrepairable if punctured. You need to experiment a bit to find the right inflation. The cushion raises me bit which I like for visibility. I think I'll ask about moving pedals to right & forward.
