Just phoned J. Worrall for some stuff ( nuts bolts etc ) . To be told Ben Duncan has left 3 weeks ago to a proper job. Mike is putting the place up for sale and working only a three day week with J. W. Looks like the end of Heart Of England .

Tragic news if it is indeed the end. Enjoyed my visit there and always had great service.

I noticed his cars are for sale (have been for a few months or thereabouts on his website).

I've not been over there for a while...I must pop by to see them. Are both businesses closing i.e., Mike Duncan at Harlebury Garage and John Worrall's Heart of England?

Mike must be in his 70's now so I guess some sort of retirement must be in the offing. When I last saw John I got the impression that things would slow down.

Do you have any idea where Ben has gone JTL? It would be a shame to lose all his Morgan expertise.

John W. said Ben had gone to work for a firm that made valves , I was thinking that Ben would take over from his dad . He had my mog for a year working on the lot and he did things to it such as those runner covers under the seats on both the front and rear ones . I feel like you that knowledge should not be wasted .If Mike sells it its a large area some builder could put up a few houses it will be the end of them both.

A great loss for the people with older models. A shame there is no one to take over.

They should put a preservation order on the garage...not many of those left now! Perhaps a preservation order on Mike as well...not many of those left now either.

He did say to me earlier in the year that they were hoping to move to some premises on an industrial estate as the garage was difficult to heat in winter; I'd volunteered to help them with the move. I guess they'll get a decent price for the land and yes, houses will no doubt be built on it.

All sad but then it shows the death knell of small Morgan dealers as a result of the Company's desire to move onwards and upwards. Who will be next I wonder?

I agree, sad news.

I have bought many stainless and special bits from HOE over the years.

Last time I spoke to John he sounded as if he had had enough.

They were on an industrial estate when I first knew them. I've got a feeling it was on the Droitwich road out of Kiddy. John Worrall and I shared a love of Capris!
