I have a short video of a Morgan crash at a trackday in Belgium. It's on my photobucket collection but site is temporarily down. I will put a link when its open again. Some of you may have seen it before from other posts.

I'm with Jays on this issue: an open Morgan is far, far safer than a bike, but probably not as protective as a new BMW 320i.
You have to weigh up your approach to risk and make your own judgement. A Morgan without any airbags, without roll over protection and with a nice shiny Moto-Lita steering wheel cannot be as safe as a modern saloon. Anyone who is really concerned about maximizing safety shouldn't consider an open car, let alone a Morgan. But if you don't feel happy driving a Morgan don't ask or expect it to change, go and find something that matches your expectation.

Yes, nicely put Peter.
Philip that roll-over was last year (or year before). Footballer in the Celebrity Challenge race at Silverstone.

Luther Blissett or something similar I think......never heard of him but the name stuck! Without a helmet though I doubt he would have survived.

In the handbook, it says children should not be transported in a Morgan. I presume on safety grounds, impact protection etc.
I sort of read it as - you can take your chances, but don't risk the kids - which I accept, and is fair enough.

Thanks for that Phillip! I've a still somewhere of it in the air mid roll....you can see the chassis twisted. At least the factory rebuilt or replaced the car for the owner free.
Brave owners in my view to lend their cars to Morgan for so called celebs to drive. I spoke to one owner at Blenheim this year and got the impression they wouldn't do it again.

I've come to the conclusions Morgans are, in oh so many ways, like wives. So, only lend your Morgan to someone you'd trust with your wife.
