I have worked in the Oil Industry all my life and that's what would happen there. Probably the same in the Auto Industry but the dealers will be a bit more outspoken than all those waiting for their final salary pensions in the Oil Industry.

I've spent all my life in the Chemical Industry: it is just the same. I'm ashamed to admit that I'm one of the people who stand beside the screen talking to dealers and sales colleagues about what is on the Power Point slide. Mostly it is aspirational stuff that has not a cat in hell's chance of being realised.

OMG this sounds like a normal day at work for me You forgot to say that the consultant will then reassemble the words you gave and present it back to you in a new format along with some new words like synergy, line of sight, and low hanging fruit When the difficult questions are asked the response will be that is a fantastic question and it will be "taken offline" at the end of it all the management will celebrate that they have now created a straw man Gajet

I wonder if they talk about future projects like an electric Three Wheeler which is mentioned in MOG mag today.
If so I hope that there is a chorus of protest from the dealers.....I was hoping that with Charles gone, such nonsense would a thing of the past. MMC need to focus on improving quality and preparing the existing cars for future legislation regarding petrol engines NOT pandering to the Greenies with something that they just haven't got the experience or the finance to do properly.

Might need an International effort on this Waldemar. If we can get you to send Mrs Merkels phone over to Malvern and then we can get our American Morganeers to let us know what is happening LOL that was nasty

Dealer meetings are not new. They were going on five years ago when I got into this scene. The balance will have changed and there hasn't been one for a while as far as I know, but don't put too much emphasis on what this is about. Dealers pick cars up from the factory regularly and that would be the time to have a face to face discussion, not in a bun fight with all the dealers there. Since price cutting started I don't imagine there is much love lost.

Yes, this is all very familiar. "Low hanging fruit" I hate that phrase... My American colleagues use it with tedious regularity. Why not say "we will do what is easy"? I'd give a lot to be an observer at the meeting to watch how the Morgan management team work together, what the body language says and so on. I can't believe that they are now all one happy family.
