Next the rear wheel well. I needed to spray the acrylic filler, and fit an umbilical for the luggage high level brake light.
The reversing light was wet inside so I took it apart to dry it out............

Here's the bare cobra:

And with neoprene seal added and electrical tape cover:

Acrylic primed.....

Painted and lacquered...........

And refitted...................

And finally.......
It's time I disclosed the number plate.
I looked around for a while, considered YEll MOG, and YEl0 MOG, but several weeks ago........
Plumped for this innocent

Very nice work Dave. I'll work on an under tray for Nero over the winter once i've finished my current project.

I've just gone for an "MGN" plate as well...must be catching!

Dave, the cowl is superb! I love the bigger blend radius and the way you have fitted it behind the over riders, much more elegant than mine. Mk3 here we come!

PS – How do you manage to get away with so much time in the garage.

Thanks Roger!
Well, partial retirement has some advantages!

Still to do:

HOE Mirrors
Water deflector for plug leads
Windstop
Toolbox
Brake reaction bars (in stock)
Door stays
B post protection trim edges
Pedal rubbers

Then later on AVO dampers

So far that's it. But someting else will probably turn up.

I was interested to see that your car has a pair of horns. Mine was delivered with one horn and the cable for the other taped up. I suspected that, with the fitting of the aircon, the cable was a little short so that instead of fitting a short extension or re-routing the cable they simply did not fit the horn frown

I did put it on a small list of items that were QC problems that I gave to the factory on my last visit but since I had now fitted a pair of FIAMMs I did not follow up on it.
