The Krazy Horse dyno is up and running although they are waiting for some sensors for tuning work . Put my car on it today and here are the results .... Max power 72.93 bhp @ 4985.6 rpm Max torque 85.09 Ft/lb @ 3842.5 rpm Their demo produced similar figures , so now we know . Nice burger in the cafe afterwards

The torque number is interesting as it really jibes with what I've experienced which is that the ultimate sweet spot is around 3800rpm.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

The power is measured at rhe rear wheel .
The torque stays above 80 from around 3000 rpm to approx 4500 , which I think backs up what it feels like when driving .
It'll be interesting to see what some tuning can achieve .

Honestly, as an owner who is happy with his car, I'm a bit disappointed by the figure. I know MMC has reduced the official claim from 110 bhp to 80 (but still 0-60 in 4.5secs) but I suppose I was still hoping it would be over 100. Not that it matters.

Is that the calculated bhp or the actual figure on the wheel that the dyno showed? If the latter then it is whp not bhp.
The usual conversion factor for an approximation of bhp from whp is 0.85. 72.93 whp /0.85 = 85.8 bhp.
However, the factor is different for every drive train so 0.85 may be way off for a M3W. The only real way to get bhp is to measure it at the crankshaft.

Does it really matter? It's only for bragging rights at the pub, anyway!
If tuning is planned, repeated runs in identical conditions are required in order to illustrate the difference to each state of tune. Whether the end result is measured in widgets or whatnots is kind of immaterial, surely?
As Vspec ro rightly ended with, if you're happy now then be happy!
If you wish to go faster, that car will become a money pit very quickly. I'd be very interested in a tune that saves 10mpg..!!
