I know what you're saying HJP but from what I hear Charles was very prone to sticking his oar in to the day to day running of the factory in an Abramovich style. I know one life-long employee (a shop foreman) who left because of this. Where better to find experienced people than the factory and give them their chance?

I never meant my comment as detrimental to Charles efforts. I remain saddened he is no longer in front of the business as he gave it a very personal edge. If you read my old posts you will find similar comments w.r.t. Quality. At least Charles made decisions and did things unlike a lot of other captains of industry. I applaud his commitment and hope he remains connected to the business and cars in some way. Opening a dealership would prove interesting ? Do newton motors need a celeb salesman ?

Despite the quality comments we still put our money where our mouths are and bought the silver coupe. Every time we drive it (even with the engine light on) is just so wonderful.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

tmg513 , I understand what you are saying and I am always willing to give people a chance to prove themselves . My concern is that if they only have experience of doing things 'the Morgan way ' things won't improve .

I feel I have paid a lot of money to be a development driver . Somehow I can't see this policy working in the new export markets especially where the dealers are few and far between .

John Bishop (Basher) has recently been appointed to look after quality control. He is not only very experienced with Morgan but has had previous QC experience and qualifications. He has a big job ahead of him and I'm sure we would all wish him the very best.

That is great news. thumbs
I reckon if you put John on a bacon slicer he would have "Morgan" on every rasher.
Top bloke.

Better get him signed up to TM, we can quickly put together a top 10 action plan to get him started.
