Thank you Jays OZ .....I'll reserve my 5000th posting (5000?  ) to congratulate you. That looks great and I see you also have some other interesting additions behind the engine! It was one of those thing that I meant to do when I had the 4/4. I was going to go down the glass fibre route as it's a material I'm more use to, but yours is stunning and as Peter says, it could be marketed. Something that Williams (if you are reading this Henry and Lawrie!) might do. I see the Sigma in Caterhams have a bespoke cover although I've never tracked down where to get one from. Peter....I agree about the messy installation of the Roadster engine. Whenever anyone asks to see under the bonnet I always open the near side one!

Fastidious as charged Peter. Perhaps I should explain the extra furniture attached to the fire wall. My little MOG is something of a tribute car to my Gran Dad, my father and family. Gran Dad was a mechanic who ran garages around Essex in the early 1900s. I have his original Special Certificate of Mechanical Competency awarded by the Automobile Club of Great Britain and Ireland dated 1908. The Club later became the RAC and that is why I have a vintage RAC badge (circa 1930) on the front of my car. Gran Dad immigrated to Australia mid 1920s, started a very successful engineering business and expanded his passion for cars. The oil can would have sat on the shelf of his garage alongside his “Sunday” car – a 1926, Type 40 Bugatti. G’ Dad bought the car in Australia in 1936 and kept it in pristine condition (fastidious you see) until his death in 1952. This original Bugatti was then pushed into the garage, put up on blocks (cranked over occasionally) then sold in 1977. That now explains the Bugatti owners badge on the rear of my MOG. The oil can passed to my Dad then to me. It has great sentimental value. The RAC plaque on the firewall I kept from my 1990 London to Brighton run in an 1896 Peugeot owned by West Australian Peter Briggs at the time. The tyre pressure gauge belonged to my father who was fastidious with tyres on all his cars. After it had been sitting at the bottom of my tool box for the last 20 odd years I thought it could make a reappearance. The green LED torch was a recent Father’s Day gift from my son. Crikey mate! Now you have identified yourself as a "Fastidious Owner". Tyre pressure gauge, oil can and torch all mounted on a stainless plate together with the RAC plate! You must be trying to live up to your reputation as "A Morgan Identified Fastidious Owner..."

Really interesting OZ, which parts of Essex? As since graduating (and them emigrating) I spent 15 years in Essex, Purfleet, Chafford Hundred (post end of Grays - if there is such a thing!) and finally Wivenhoe (where we still have our house). My sister is in Saffron Walden....

This is the full horror of the Roadster Engine. The near side, as Jays' mentions, isn't bad.  But the off side....  Is a plumbers nightmare. There are still bits I've not properly identified! What is that pipe from the centre cylinder manifild for?

Not too sure mate but my mum might know. The only actual address I had for him was Bowerdean Street, Fulham  Really interesting OZ, which parts of Essex? Pipe from the manifold could be some form of improving cold starting of the engine. Some Ford Kent's had something similar (not mine though).
