I spoke to CM earlier today about Aero's and the new driveline strategy. I would not like to break any confidences, but it has already been speculated in Morgan circles which engine will replace the 4.4 litre BMW, and thus I leave it to Simon/Ben to compare and contrast the changes in the similar engines in the X5.
It appears that the change will occur 'later' in the New Year, so it seems that my Series III will not have it - b-----!

This is, funnily enough, the question I asked of both RTCC and MMC when there was an engine delay in August/September of this year.
So my 'guess' would be as BMW have phased out the 4.4 V8 in their range and replaced it with the 4.8 V8, the new Aero will also receive this engine.
Hardly Sherlock Holmes on my part but a pretty reasonable guesstimate of changes at hand with respect to the Aero 8

Looks good for 2008 then. IMHO a V10 would not be suitable - Aero 10 Aero 8+2??

Looks good for 2008 then. Timing is off the essence Doc, which is what Head Office is always telling me

He did however say " what I will tell you is that they will categorically not build the car that I would like" when pressed he replied "An Aero with the new BMW V10" From what I have read (including Simons experiences) I dont think it would suit the Aero's character anyway. Shame they won't offer it as an option - Weismann will be offering the V10 in their GT apparrently...
Prefer V8 sound myself though.
Anyone know if a Chevvy LS1 would fit?
