Yes you are correct I first took my car down in 1990 . I just think Mike has had enough as you get older the problems you brush away daily dont seem to be as easy . The in-fighting of the MMC may have helped change his mind . As last year Mike had a M3M in and sold it on Ben said they could not afford to keep it . Maybe his heart is not in it anymore being as he started in the 1960s same as John MacDonald things have changed and maybe not for the better if you are a small dealer . But Mike never sold many new mogs used ones yes and he made his name and reputation in servicing mogs to a high standard .I spoke to Ben a month or so ago and J.W. said to him what if you had broken or damaged John's mog ( looking for problems when their are none ).
Ben's reply was I just get the cheque book out . Ben had worked from Feb till Oct last year never asked for any cash in advance or as the job was being done and a lot of work was done , so I doubt if retirement is due to cash not flowing in .
He did say to me earlier in the year that they were hoping to move to some premises on an industrial estate as the garage was difficult to heat in winter
They were on an industrial estate when I first knew them. I've got a feeling it was on the Droitwich road out of Kiddy. John Worrall and I shared a love of Capris!
