Its been a busy day running around for others . I went with to the garage while she was sitting in the passenger seat as I filled her car up . In the next isle was a 3 series old'ish BMW getting filled . I took little notice except it had a woman driver . While standing holding the pipe I spotted the BMWs tyres move backwards , the garage is built on a hill . It stopped then it started to move again and a bit faster this time I let go of the fuel pipe in the tank ran over to the car which had dark glass . By this time it was starting to move quicker . Grabbed the passenger door open but the door was moving at me I thought throw yourself in John or the door is going to knock you over as I tried to dive over the seat . My mind fixed on pulling the hand brake on or knocking the gear lever into 1st . I was across a woman sitting like a fool the car had stopped . I got up and said " Your car was rolling backwards " She said "I know " with little concern as though that was normal . I got up and headed for our car . While still filling my wifes car out came the woman who drove it . Her passenger opened the door and said a couple of words to her. I shouted over, "your car was heading down the hill your hand brake is not working" . Her reply was, " I know it does not work" . This idiot knows yet parks on a hill and does not put it into gear . But what about getting it repaired .
I wrote a long while ago I hated BMW and Audi its idiots like these that use the badge yet the cars have never seen a service . This idiot could not see past her lipstick and perfume its a garage and children go into the shop for crisps what if it had rolled on a child . I feel it would be one of those 100% idiot replies such as I never thought a car with no brakes could roll backwards down a hill . I feel angry and ashamed of myself for not getting her reg number and phoning the police .

Mate at work was at the tyre fitters when a woman came in with an older Boxster and a rear puncture. He gave her three prices for a rear tyre and she went for the middle quality - about £90 I recall.
He also informed her that the other rear tyre was almost on the limit, but she drove off with one replacement..................

You don't have to hate BMW owners! I have my services regularly, even the repair of my surroundview camera system next week ( one camera in right rearview mirror is sometimes out of order). Couple of years ago, we drove a X5, a rear tire was punctured, and we went to a BMW dealer in Warwick, which fixed a new premium rated run flat tire, but we got the Bimmer returned after a car wash!
But I understand what you mean, it was something to get over, before driving BMW! But now I am addicted to BMW, as also for Morgans!

Bit like the people who drive a $150k plus car and still wont fork out $100 to put in a hands free set, or dont use the one fitted because they didnt know about it. They then complain when they get a $300 fine for driving while on the phone.

I call them the Green wellie brigade, Have BMW, Audi etc, posh wellies, move out of town and commute, then complain about the countryside, and the locals, also because it's dirty and no coffee shops and they have to drive to the big shops. Tend to think a lot of themselves and have little consideration for others.

I've got an Audi - and live in the countryside (always have!). Took it in for a service yesterday at the main dealer. One alloy wheel found to be damaged so needed replacement. £426 for the wheel plus 3 HOURS LABOUR AT £121 PER HOUR and all plus VAT - yes £121, not a typo. Still, they did clean off all the muck and grime which probably took them another three hours and was supposed to be complimentary. Did a good job too, even if they did put polish on the windscreen!
