I believe the S&S used in the M3W is tuned lean and to run hot for emissions. Now, once out of warranty, I think some special tuning and mapping would set things right.

If it is set to run lean then yes, more fuel is the answer! Might get a few more bhp as well. If you buy a M3W I doubt mpg is a high priority, or emissions for that matter!
