My sender has arrived today after a several days in the Christmas mail system. The resistance values in the specification show 0 - 90 ohms but the real values of both senders are 3 ohms full and 75 ohms empty with a linear change between. As mentioned by "Dab", it gives you about 10 lt reserve when 0% is indicated, far more useful indications. Why don't they fit the 280mm unit from new?

is it difficult to change the senders? Do I need special tools?  :xmascheers: Achim

It's an easy job to replace the fuel sender. All you need are two Allen keys, a 3mm one for the luggage tray removal and a 4mm one for the sender screws.

I wonder if there is a market out there for used 220mm tank senders? We probably know where there are quite a few.

Just ordered my 280 mm VDO fuel sender from CIP1.com for US $61 including shipping (no tax applied as I am out of state).
Note: these are marine grade units meant for yachts.

I decided to removed the shell of my scarab to solve different problems insolvent and failed yet , and I also discovered that an electrical cable was crushed this may be the problem is faulty fuel gauge , it will be also avoided electric arc PARTY 2014 , I recommend that everybody allieurs control electric faisseau to this place and that there is no paint on the ground point , it is best to self meme things when we can , because if Aisse must have his vehicle whenever there is a problem we no longer runs the day repair is longer than the time in working as atentes the warranty are very long, so I decided to take the bull by the horns as some hard problems for over three months and I will Still not when they are settled. if it continues like this I likely to serve me a year of my vehicle on the first two years , the real novelty in 2014 morgan would also éfficasse after sales service, we do not sewn mouth from morgan and Dealers .I attached picture   http://imageshack.us/a/img89/1663/ckzp.jpghttp://imageshack.us/a/img703/296/f0a9.jpg
