Just a note to introduce myself. I am a new MTW owner and a perpetual gearhead. I am a serious motorcycle enthusiast if 15 motorcycle qualifies as serious. I am, also, an active Iron Butt rider. I do all my own wrenching and modifications and have no reservations to tearing into the MTW when the time comes and I suspect it is coming sooner than later.

I bought my MTW second-hand just outside Houston, TX on December 31 with 1,600 miles on the clock. The MTW build was started in August 2013, it was imported into Miami, FL in October, registered to the first owner in November and it was back on the market in late December.

After reading many threads here and after driving it several days, I have some observations on the MTW but will share them in other threads. I hope I can contribute constructive information to this forum and thank you for letting me be a part of this group.

My latest long-distance bike build....

Blimey! I was going to say 3 satvavs? when I saw the first photo but as I worked my way down that question seems rather irrevalent and I'm rather speechless!

Anyway....welcome to TM .....I'm sure you are going to make some interesting contributions!

Welcome Zachy, I'm sure you will be making very valid contributions to the site, in fact you have already started. I am looking forward to reading more of your observations.

Welcome Zachybilly. Its said that M3W owners are more satisfied if they come come via a bike or vintage route. Its more than evident you qualify on the bike front.
Do you have any idea why the first owner did not keep it even two months? Were they by any chance used to driving big Audis or Mercs & were having trouble finding the sat nav controls & rear wiper switch on the M3W?
I'm sure some must be fazed by the number of switches on an M3W, there are four of them to get your head round. That's one more than my vintage Sunbeam car. Judging by your first photo I think you will cope just fine.
What is your first modification project?

Tim.
