Damn it - thanks for asking Paul! Hence him not using it to shake down any faults...and pedal box will still be in bits waiting for the part.
Shall give them a call later, hope the switch arrives today.

Hope part is in now.
Even more frustrating when car just picked up after a wait.
All the more enjoyable when sorted though.

Harry, as a matter of interest, had your car been sitting at BHM while it was up for sale or had it been with the owner being used?
The reason I ask is because generally once the initial manufacturing bugs are worked out, Morgans are very reliable when used; it is the sitting around and lack of use that can cause issue.

I think it was sitting around - which may cause an elecrical/electronic problem, but I'm not sure why? Everything else about the car was fine...and post refreshment, actually in perfect condition.

Morgans are very reliable when used; it is the sitting around and lack of use that can cause issue. Totally agree Simon. Mine was fine until it went into store for six months whilst we rebuilt the last house. After that the starter fuse played up no doubt associated with the starter beginning to 'click' on cold damp mornings.  I have heard tales of trads with brake cylinders gone stuck due to lack of us. I am told my old 4/4 which now gets irregular use has had to have it's disc reground because of corrosion. At the risk of resurrecting the debate... this is why I do not believe in very low mileage cars being good value.

Have to agree on the low mileage issue. The only time my starter fuse goes is when the car has sat for 3-4 weeks without charge.
I just keep a handly supply of them in the boot (even the 30Amp ones blow occasionally, and they are very cheap items), which solves the issue.
Most embarrassing non start of the car career was when I first bought it. Arrived to drive it away and couldn't start it. Embarrassed staff, but quickly recified with new fuse. The car was 18 months old and had 1200 miles on it.
With regular use, it's 100% reliable. The recent non start issue I had was due to flat battery and my own fault!
If I had the choice of a 1000 a year car and a 5000 a year car, I know which one I'd buy...
