Just noticed those very neat extra lights too , do they make a worthwhile improvement ?
Err, yes - a mahoosive difference. They're 3400lm each side and are worth about +50bhp I reckon at night. Can't be done with rubbish lights. And that they match so well with the stock indicators makes it a perfect option. eBay, natch....
I'm interested to know if you notice any improvement in power. Also, where did the lapel pin come from and how did you attach it? Looks great, very aggressive.
Hi R1nga, Can you give us any details on fitting these lights, and what the wiring involved. CHEERS
Simply traditional auxiliary lighting wiring using a relay to switch the main current via a trigger off full-beam from one of the existing headlamps. I bought a proper set of waterproof electrical connectors from Auto Electrical Services ( AES ) and some appropriate wiring and outer sleeve to make it look factory. Relay is mounted under the bonnet out of harm and sight and that's that. As they're LED lamps they don't pull much current (about 6 amps I would have thought), but initial startup burst currents can be higher than expected (and a bit spikey), hence the use of the relay. I suspect that they could have just have easily been wired into the main-beams directly, but I now have control over them by pulling the fuse on the relay if they need disabled for any reason.
Most people don't even notice them, which is exactly why I chose that design in truth.
What is the part # for the adapter to make this style air cleaner (#9870) work with the S&S motor? #8525? Has anyone mounted one and, know that it makes an improvement?
Donald , My car is Morgan Sport Black ( i.e. Glossy Black ) and I have been pestering my dealer for a can of touch up since I got it. Have you found a match elsewhere ?
