We have our sonos data stored on a NAS drive, all of our Apple accounts are linked to this so anything the kids, wife or I buy gets stored here.
Must admit it makes for interesting listening if you're on shuffle in the garden when you might suddenly finding the neighbours enjoying so explicit gangster rap
We had a unit for about 5 years and it developed fault, spoke to sonos technical but couldn't get it sorted so they asked me to send it back they exchanged to unit for a we one for about £25. Technically I think it's brilliant stuff, the sound qualities okay, but I don't think you can beat the service.

Meridian 525 surround sound processor, 565 pre amp, 508 24 bit CD player, 557 200W stereo amp driving Dali floor standing speakers, Meridian active centre speaker, Miission wall mounted sides and rears driven by 4 channel 50w per channel car amp(it's more than sufficient and cost effective). Mission active sub woofer. Sony DVD player for Sacd listening. Apple TV for streaming music library of ripped CDs in hi res, and Flac for random play from NAS drive. Most music listened to from cd in stereo. Stereo sbeakers connected with bi wired cables that were quite expensive, Eccose interconnects on the analogue side of things, recently upgrade to Nu-diva on cd to pre amp, quite an improvement on bass control, mid range definition and sound stage. Big rock collection, but also, blues, jazz and classical. Used to play guitar rock and jazz so not listening to hi Fi but for as musical experience as possible. If I still had vinyl collection would have deck for favourite albums, but find hi quality mfsl and shm CDs just about as good.

That does sound like an addiction! Perhaps you can give me some advice, I'm looking at replacing my old stuff with a Roberts Radio...do I take the plunge or is the name just hype these days?

I have a couple of Roberts radios, both of which perform very well and have proven reliable so far...

I never buy anything other than Roberts radios. I had one die on me in Zurich about 10 years ago, but every other Roberts I have is still going strong.

In terms of radios I am a convert to PURE one in my home office and one in my kitchen. Great sound but remember I am a Luddite in such matters.....

I own up...it was a tongue in cheek counter to all the techno information being posted!
I've got a couple of PURE radios.
