Yes, I was only half joking about the footrest. Lotus did offer footrests as an option for the early Elise. Later on it was fitted as a standard. The Elise has a lot of legroom, like the (modern) Morgan.

I checked and my car does not have a cut-out or a ring on my shelf.
After removing the carpet the wooden shelf is secured by 10 screws to the wood box.
My car came with a small bag containing a sledge hammer, ring spanner for wheel nut and tire seal spray can. There's actually no space to put that bag.
Is this because i don't have a spare wheel, or due to model or year of manufacture?

In that case, your motor is different to mine. I would guess it is because you have the 'sport' model.

First a question.

Do you think all the MMC factory trad tool trays are the same?

1) YES - because it makes sense to keep one design.

2) NO - because different models need different tools.

Well, I have news................
On the left is 2005 Roadster
On the right is 2012 4/4

Both have slots for the wire wheel spanner and hammer, or a wheel brace.
Both have a slot for a first aid box which you don't get.
The Roadster one has two circular holes of indeterminate use.
The Roadster one has an extra oblong box.





If anybody wants either of these, they are available, but only by collection - they won't post easily!

NOTE: both trays were snapped up in December '13, although I do now have another which I might be persuaded to part with.....
