OK, I finally heard back from my dealer after he got some useful info from the factory. Apparently the cars are shipped to the states with the immobizer disabled with a jumper wire. I need to get under the dash an disconnect the jumper and connect some other connector that they gave me instructions on. So as not to piss off the paranoid, I'll leave it at that. If anyone has any questions concerning this matter or need any detail relating to immobilizer placement, drop me a PM and I'll let you read the email I received and view the photos of the connectors.

Let's just say it has everything to do with this jumper plug. It is now kept in my tool bag in case the system ever let's me down, oh but wait, the thieves might read this and defeat the system! Forget you ever read this thieves, as I have now keistered the plug.

If any of you have ordered, or are going to order your M3W with the immobilizer, I'd speak with your dealer and request the jumper plug from them as it should have been shipped with it. They are required to remove it and set up your system before you take delivery and I bet they either toss them away or maybe have a few laying around.
I will draw a schematic of the connection for those who don't have a way to get a factory one, though it will still require the correct plug sourced from Morgan.

I imagine this only applies to those few cars that have the immobilizer fitted?

Interesting note for those of you with an immobilizer. Today the wife and I drove up to Santa Fe, I had all the lights on, as I usually do for safety's sake while driving. I proceeded to park the car and inadvertently leave the lights on for over two hours. When I returned to the car I realized my oversight and crossed my fingers. It had plenty of battery left to crank the engine, but, apparently the voltage was low enough to freak out the immobilizer and it would not fire. Luckily I had my jumper plug in the tool kit and that remedied the problem. Interestingly, it would turn over but not fire for several tries, and then it resorted to its normal immobilizing function by not allowing the engine to turn over at all. So my suggestion is you all make one of these if you don't have one already as the need for it goes beyond the system breaking, and into the very real possibility of having a low to flat battery.

Should be set up like a bike so that the lights go off when the ignition is off. A simple relay inserted in the lighting circuit would fix that.
