A good example of enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism working together to produce an innovative and highly functional solution.

Well done Suplex and Aero Racing.

It does sound good , my first step is to get the comfort kit fitted (been waiting 3 wks now ) and see how the car feels .

Then the question is , how much do I keep spending , whether to do more work on the suspension , and/or perhaps bite the bullet and get the improved compensator and bevel box mod ?

Or do I wait and see if a new 'sport' version comes out with all the goodies and perhaps an upgraded engine ?

Neither - a great engineered solution, perhaps this is how it should/could have been from the start. This ultimate upgrade is produced because of the great demand for it - the Morgan factory test drivers love it! Try one and you will see how a sports three wheeler really should ride and handle!
You get 4 off monotube dampers, all gas pressurised, all with bump & rebound damping adjustment, rising rate springs, internal rebound springs etc. Cheers PJB

Quick question, what is the spring rate on most of the front coilovers?

Thanks.

PBJ - Non technical question, but relevant for the look of the car - are they painted all black like the factory fit shocks?

BlackAdder, the damper body is black with red spring seats and red adjuster knob. The spring is 'silver' powder coated. Regards PJB.

Dan, not sure I understand the use of the word 'most' in your question, but: of course the spring rate of all the SUPLEX units is proprietary information, however typically the initial spring rate is softer than standard for good ride then goes a lot stiffer than standard in bump and roll to minimise full bump impacts and increase roll resistance. The internal rebound spring stiffness is very stiff in comparison and also progressive. Gas pressure also adds some stiffness and is proprietary info too.

To set spring rate if you intend to do your own; determine what bounce frequency you want and then measure mass of front end and do the maths. The rate progression is essential if you are to run softer main springs in any application.

The progressive non-uniformly wound rear springs & rebound springs are more expensive to make as they need a special spring winding machine to form them and the elastomeric front 'spring assist' (Durable closed cell high density elastomer) are unique to this product I believe.

I hope this helps a little. Regards PJB.
