So after yesterday's lovely blast in the sun, it's back to a wet run home tonight.
And it's "SNAFU" regarding commuting into Padd : the Notwork Rail 'solution' to the flooding lasted for about 30 hours before going wrong. Perhaps we should all visit Pandy in Paris until the month is out? Got space for a few TM 'ers Giles ?
Yes, all of them went out today. Plus 8 to get baby powder and fish. 4/4 to test yesterday's steering gear adjustment and brake bleeding exercise, and 38 DHC to test steering gear adjustment and mechanical brake adjustment. Everything greatly improved from yesterday, even the weather. Finally a sunny, warm day in Florida. We in Florida get used to good weather and when it's not good, we pout. The wife is away on work travel all week and I get to play all I want. Life is good . . .

You're all making me very jealous! Another 4 inches or so of snowfall here last night: good news is that the forecast is for temperatures above zero in the next couple of days, but there's so much crud in the snowbanks on the sides of the roads that the meltwater will mean filthy driving for a while yet, even if we do get a bit of a thaw.
Still, if it's warm enough to be outside without gloves for more than a few minutes, it's probably time to check things over and get the Mog out of full hibernation. This winter, while not the absolute snowiest, has been one of the coldest for a long while. The last few years I've found a day or two for a quick mid-winter blast. Not this year, not on all-season tyres.
The Met guys say dry and 11C today, so taking the Mog to the office. That will be a first: might be some interesting reactions, but given it is in North Dorset they may just think it normal.

I've just taken Stanley out for a drive. Hood up, but no sidescreens. I tried to avoid the sand covered seafront, the grit covered lanes and the general debris, whilst also avoiding some recent and large potholes. Really nice to be out.
Also I put the covers I use in the garage (2 x Stanley coloured poly/cotton sheets!!) through the tumble drier (I was surprised by how damp they were) and left the garage door open for a while to allow some fresh air to circulate.
