DAB Aerial

This is the exact one, the aerial pad that sticks to the glass is about 30mm square, mine is on the passenger side bottom corner and the cable from the inside one runs under the leather on the dash and then under the dash to the unit, no drilling.

Looks good but note the warning on the use with heated screens.....

Idea so far is to leave factory system as is and add:
- subwoofer + amp at end of passenger footwell + cover
- 2 boxed rear speakers
- Dynamat fitting

Has anyone installed dynamat quieting material in his/her classic?
Is it worth it? Can it ever be removed ?

confused2

Cheers,
Vladimir

Yes I've used it before. Once installed you won't see it. It can be removed

Ok, As you're about to see below, I finally trusted Williams A. to fit something decent enough so I could listen to some good music from time to time... without -of course- killing the car's original "audio" signature notworthy

So I drove from London up to Horton early on a quite rainy Friday, left the car there (I REALLY enjoyed the place and the race pieces they have, not to mention the dog!!!), then took the train to go visit Bath and relax Thermae Spa.

As I was enjoying a stormy afternoon in the heated thermal rooftop pool, I couldn't stop thinking of what they'd do to vMog, so I rushed to my phone and looked up to see whether I had any fresh news. This is when I saw that the guys from the garage were feeding their Facebook wall with pictures of their current work: I must say I love technology, just for that mail

What these guys did to my car is truly incredible indeed: perfect sound, coming from perfectly well-conceived wooden boxes for the rear speakers and a quirky sub-woofer hidden at the very front of the passenger's footwell.

Driving back to London was pure delight happy3 Oh, did I mention I also did the ECU remapping thing. Devil6

To all 4-seater owners who want to have a decent audio system in their car, you may want to give them a call, as they now have tested it live on vMog, and it really R.O.C.K.S.!

Ps: moneywise, I guess I'm on for eating dehydrated soups for a while... pale

A bientôt

I've been waiting to hear your thoughts before doing the same work on mine, seems Henry wants to do a Roadster....

SO, a more detailed report on the sound please!
What do you listen to?
Can you turn it up so the sound is clear without distorting at 60 to 70 with the hood down?

And the Biggie: How much? (I'll send soup packets)

It does!
But I'm still mainly interested in just the radio mounting... smile

Much as I like, and use, our sound system unless you want to supply music for the whole county I think you are asking a bit much for a sound system that you can really listen to at speeds in excess of 60. Under 60 is not a huge problem but over 60 the wind noise is likely to be just too much.

For reference we only have the standard system with the two front foot well speakers. I keep thinking it could be improved by placing two small speakers in the space just behind the doors. I don't want to lose even 1cm of luggage space to speaker boxes.
