Having looked at the kit and the way it goes together, the most difficult part would appear to be unscrewing the upper ball joint and installing the upper steering arm. The rest of it would go together quickly and the only re-alignment of the steering would be re-setting the toe-in. You could do this in your garage if you were careful and had some scrap plywood to make an alignment rack.
I am more in agreement with 2 hours of shop time being needed vs the 8 hours I was quoted. I also think the track rod extensions need to be black so as to not be so obtrusive.

California but I miss-typed, it was 6 hours. Scottsdale has not received any hardware yet.

I think there are slight variations in the kits due to the different racks fitted at various times .
I've just enquired about getting mine done and there are (at least) 2 versions depending on the steering rack. Apparently some have a hole in the middle (when viewed from above) and some don't. Checking mine tonight and then getting it booked in

Show us the pic of the version you have & what to look for..because you cant garuntee what type of version you have on only the build year or month..for example mine is a october build 2013. & the compensator i have doesnt have the hole in the casing

Show us the pic of the version you have & what to look for..because you cant guarantee what type of version you have on only the build year or month..for example mine is a october build 2013. & the compensator i have doesnt have the hole in the casing The hole is in the steering rack, not in the compensator.

There are also some steering racks with holes in the top and some without !

Mine was upgraded Ah, I see. Well, I don't really... Where is this hole in the compensator casing? And what is its purpose? Perhaps Chris Pollitt, the Assistant Editor of MOG Magazine, who popped up on this forum and then seems to have disappeared, could issue a bulletin about the various holes that were not in the early 3 Wheeler, and those that have been fitted (if one can fit a hole) and what they are there for.
