If you search on the site you'll see the results of various rolling road days we've had in the past, from memory my Aero SS (with sidepipes) was amongst the highest bhp at circa 365 bhp, but the AeroMax was some 10 mph faster flat out at V-Max, due to the Aero SS's somewhat turbulent aerodynamics! tumbleweed

innocent

And the downpipe has the same size.
As soon as it's installed I'll tell you the size of the old "rear" aero racing exhaust.

What "long" does it means? 100, 500 or 1.000km? And at which cruising speed?

i drove from Killarney, Ireland to Dublin (3 hours) took the ferry to Holyhead (2 hours) and then drove home (4 hours) and I have to say I was quite tired at the end of it. If I had been in the Mercedes it would have been nothing.

I was pushing it to make the ferry etc so did a good speed but it was pretty tiring due to the NVH levels.

Then again the Mercedes would not have stopped the traffic in Dublin.

Thanks Alistair. If it is after an overall trip of 9 hours (7 driving) for me is more than OK.
With the rear exhausts (Aero racing) I had no issue at all in driving Milan-Geneve (4h, 320km) + Geneve-Zurich (3h, 300km) in one day (always roof down).

I hope that the combo side exhausts + wife screams will not make the upgrade unbearable

I guess the single most surprising bit was my good lady wife managed to fall asleep on the Killarney/Dublin and Holyhead/Winchester.

Hoofing it as I was late (as always)
Bumpy backroads out of Killarney
NVH at good levels
Sports seats with zero padding. (we are both well equipped on that front)

She slept most of the way !

Even with my driving.

It is loud, it will set off car alarms, it will make your neighbours want to smack you. You won't regret it at all. Just buy them a nice bottle of wine regularly.

Just a small point, the factory cut out is central to the outlet pipes only when hot and off centre when cold. this allows for expansion.
