Riding horses ( along with driving a Morgan ! ) is the best form of relaxation I know , does you more good than anything else ...

A friend had a very elderly visitor to stay , at the end of the meal he stood up and proposed a toast :

" To women and horses and the gallant men who ride them "

There is "something" about tight Jodhpurs.... getcoat

Further information for Lawrie:
Emma rides a 17.2 Irish sports horse, dark brown with a single white 2"circle on its front quarter, hence he is called "Target".

Very nice peter.

04.30 start today, so roof on into Bristol.

My TM to Padd train was diverted due to overrunning engineering work at Swindon,so all the way back to Chippenham/Melksham/Westbury and then via the Berks & Hants to Reading (just as well I sign the Melksham branch!)

So a beautiful sunny day, lovely drive to/from Padd then, roof off, down to Cribbs for a new pillow for swmbo - oh how I used to hate the chores, now I love the extra 75 mins driving home drive

Finally, 2 hours washing/polishing/waxing and super glossing the green bits and Henrietta is as shiny as something really quite shiny. Mind you the muck spreader that went by half way through farmer almost took the "gloss" off the day, but the poo came off very easily !

A lovely Morgan day cheers

Collected son from a friends's at 8:30 this morning. The 1/2 drive home sans hood and side screens woke him up somestick . Then took swmbo in the Morgan, again sans hood and side screens, to view a ruined church at Mongewell near Wallingford before buying her tea and a muffin at a cafe shop beside the Thames at Benson.

Think I got the priorities right there juggle wine

Gave Stanley a quick clean after yesterday's drive and then took the Boneville out for a short ride; before settling down to enjoy Chiefs victory over Bath and then England beating Wales.
cheers

Took 'Q' up to Wythall Radio Rally. Spent a number of hours on one of the stands as an exhibitor, then drove home, all A46/A435 (bar a brief foray on the M5 to get past N. Cheltenham / Bishops Cleeve).
Then spent a happy hour grovelling on the driveway greasing kingpins and checking with the spanners. Now over 900 miles since collection which is b.a. until one considers the monsoon winter we've had umbrella
