noticed yesterday that two of the bolts/screws that hold the leather armrest bits on the side of the trike had come off and a third had unscrewed itself and was just flapping. once i got home i took an allen key to the rest of them and realized they were all coming undone and needing some serious tightening.

i had been regularly tightening the bolts on the exhaust heat shield after pinning one of my rattles to a loose bolt (again, do monthly tightening of those as they come unscrewed very easily with the amount of vibration from the v-twin engine) but hadn't thought to do the interior panels.

just a bit of a reminder/suggestion for those of you trike owners. attached are a couple pics to the areas in question (and yes my car is filthy and in desperate need of a detail).

A good point Blake , I lost one of mine last year .....

Some kind person tried to pull the Morgan badge off the front of my car at the weekend and bent it up at both sides , they obviously hadn't noticed half the 'enamel ' has fallen out !
Anyway when I fixed it back on I incorporated an L shaped bracket to help stop the grille flapping around ( the self adhesive foam blocks had fallen off prior to delivery ..) It works well .

just wait until you see it's backside! no seriously, the rear end looks like it did the dakar rally. again, in desperate need of a very expensive and thorough detail.

It's a low strength thread locker in a bottle & should prevent loose nuts (fnarr, fnarr)

The four wheelers also suffer from loosening nuts, bolts and screws.

It's traditional you know..............

You could try Loctite 263 if you want the job done...forever.

not really looking for a permanent fix, more of just a cautionary tale for those trike (and trad) owners to make a habit of every couple of months break out the set of allen keys and wrenches and just spend 30 min in the garage attacking ever single exposed bolt/screw as it's not a function of if they loosen up its just a function of when.

I did those when i first got it,but there is some thing you should check after every 4hrs drive..

@Q8morgan, i need to pick up a deeper socket wrench set but have been meaning to ever since i saw your posts about your plugs coming loose. i've got nearly 8,000 miles on my car and haven't tightened them so i'm hoping it's not too tragic
