Peter

Love the Max Clifford upgrade.

Like the gear knob, where did you source that bad boy?

My alternative knob is a Richbrook Touring. It was very reasonably priced (especially compared with something very similar from Momo). As well as looking much nicer than the original, it is narrower, so the gap between it and the handbrake lever is usefully increased.

Does it screw on to the original MX5 centraliser threads Peter?

Nippymog, yes from the bonnet side. With the bulkhead panel removed there is plenty of access, even better once you have chopped a hole out of the dash a bit smaller than the cover panel.
