Very few owners of Two and Three speed three-wheelers own Five-speeders so we have little experience of them. If the owners of 5Sp don't join the Club and contribute to the Bulletin there won't be much in it for them, you only get out what is put in.
Members can view the Bulletin on-line through the Club website www.mtwc.co.uk which is well worth a visit.
I understand that a 5Sp has been entered for the Easter Monday hill climb at Loton Park so there's sure to be a write-up on that. Turn up in numbers for that event and meet the old guard, it's a beautiful venue and very informal. Introduce yourselves and your cars, we have much in common.
There is a photo of the Fairbourne windscreen in the Bulletin. I've read the instructions on adding a picture to this but really don't understand. Sorry.

Hi Chris
Is that Loton near Shrewsbury?
If so ...
I am a 5 speed owner and would like to pop down - less than an hour away for me so ideal. Is there a web site with any more details ?
Do I need to register to turn up or is it open to public ?

I have checked the events page of that site before any wise guy chips in and no details there. doh

Cheers
Graham

Yes, Nippy, that's the one.

Did you mean to spectate or compete? To spectate just turn up on the day and pay at the gate. Normally two practice runs in the morning and two that count after lunch. The event is promoted by Hagley and District Light Car Club

http://www.hdlcc.com/Events/

and there's a Loton Park website too

http://www.lotonpark.co.uk/hillclimb.html

If you would like to enter please PM me and I'll go into details of a contact.

See you there!

Well. I have written a piece for the Bulletin, a month or two ago now, and intend to do another one soon. I think we all know that you only get out what you put into clubs like this. Hopefully others will also put pen to paper, in spite of saying it all on here, there are others, not on here for some reason, who would like to see it in the magazine.

Go for it guys.

I think the man that was ahead of the game here was one of our friends from over the pond, Mr K Rilette if I am not mistaken?

Indeed Donaldo, an unsung here if ever there was one. Rivette by the way.

I emailed MTWC asking for info about club, I had no response. If the screens fold or open wipers & washers are not required.

Graham. If you go back to the MTWC website, click on 'Sporting home page', a menu appears, click on 'Sporting calendar 2014' and you'll see the list of events.

Paul. Good for you, keep 'em coming. An article in the Bulletin is a very different animal to a contribution to a forum. It can be thought through over weeks if needs be and is usually a more lasting contribution, sometimes to social history.

Tim. That is disappointing. I don't know who you sent your query to but Eric Bayley is your man. In the Club website go to 'Join the Club'. The bottom line has a link to the Membership Secretary, click on that to send him an email.

Looking at the photo of the windscreen it doesn't appear to fold or open, it's much the same as the 1930s Super Sports. I suspect wipers & washers would be required.
