Ok Sigma boys lissenup !
Ecu remap update after 1000 miles:
More power evident in all gears and revs smoothly from lower down the rev range; 2nd in particular is transformed and seems to now have an additional surge above 4,500 revs.
Fuel consumption just over 48 mpg on a mix of early morning 'spirited' runs and daytime commuting around Bristol.
No downsides !

Jeremy So Jeremy - I know you're only interested in mpg and not speed!  That's a great result at 48mpg since stock engine is at about 42-44mpg which is good. Is yours a stock engine or has it had any other mods to it? What effect, if any, has it had on 3rd & 4th gear acceleration?

Hi Roger Yes, stock engine bar the ecu. My 'commuting' is rarely during 08-09 or 17-18.00 periods but it compares to approx 45 mpg previously ! Ref 3rd and 4th, less noticeable as I have always used 3rd as gear of choice for overtaking but Chunky reports an *unprintable* speed achieved in 3rd  4th again has more oomph at both ends of rev range, so bassically I'm changing gear less. Chunky reports an *unprintable* speed achieved in 3rd
Jeremy Must be 3 figures then as I saw about 98 in 3rd down the Mulsanne in 2012 in my stock 4/4 sport !

Folks,
Had the ECU of my 2009 Plus4 remapped in Williams on Monday -- got in and drove from there to Fishguard for the ferry -- impressions are that the pick-up from 2000RPM is much faster and stronger - particularly as you pass 3000RPM. The car is MUCH more willing to rev and encourages a more "Spirited" style of driving!!! I have to say that I am very pleased with the change which I would term a transformation into the car it should be!!!!
Phoned Mike to say I was worried about the car, which caused an intake of breath at the other end --until I explained I was worried for my license!!!!!!!!!!!
It really is worth having done.

Nice one Robbie,
I'm just waiting to hear from my insurers about my remap.....effectively 8% increase in power which brings my series 2 engine close to the series 1. They need to refer to the underwriters......I can somehow see an additional premium!

No one can tell the difference without an in depth technical investigation that no one would even think of doing.
