I see that these are mentioned on the site from time to time and seem to be a good idea for reasons of durability and resistance to swelling under pressure.
Recommendations for a brand and internet supplier of UNF/Metric options please...............

Bought a set of Goodridge SS brakelines from www.brakes4u.co.uk a couple of years ago. They also stock EBC brake pads and discs. Gerry.

Got the ones for the first 4/4 from Uncle Melvyn. BHM supplied and fitted the ones on the present 4/4 before I collected it...

Most definitely worth doing.
Goodridge if you live in the UK or EU. Earls in the U.S. which is more readily available and quite a lot cheaper. Much better pedal feel.

I've used an Ebay firm called Torques_uk and made up my own hoses using fittings and hose bought from them.
Their prices are really good and they supply stainless, aluminium as well as plated steel fittings. Their fittings are good quality, really well made and finished. Assembling the hose is fairly easy and they provide instructions. Delivery is rapid too.
I've no connection with Torques_uk other than as a very satisfied customer.

Thanks for all the pointers, saves a lot of time and trawling. .............great site for info, keep it up! Quick one on the filter - remove rubber seal, smear of grease or oil on BOTH sides, refit and screw up tight BY HAND(S) and it won't come off. Use a strap or hex and you'll need a hammer/screwdriver to break it loose - very messy!
