Hi, I think your 3-wheeler looks superb in Garnet Red too.
Yes, the tyre cover was an optional extra that I ordered from the factory as part of the original build.

Hi, Please don't think I'm a traitor to the Morgan world, as I still love the cars as much as ever. I had my car built in 2008 and I had 3 wonderful years with the car, and loved every minute of it. I had always wanted a Morgan since 1970 which was when I had my first Morgan, a Plus 4 4-seater, and having the Roadster fulfilled my dreams. However, in 2011 I decided it was time to move on to a car with a bit more comfort for my aging body! (Age 61). And so I bought an Aston Martin DB9 Volante, which is superb (and the hood is a lot quicker to lower!).  I really miss my Morgan when I see one on the road, and would have loved to be able to afford to keep mine as well as the Aston. Regarding ups and downs, I think driving the Morgan was virtually all "ups". On the down side, I found the steering was hard work with the wide tyres, and so I had Power Steering fitted (Mechanical Hydraulic PAS) through the dealership (Allon White) at a cost of £2,760 in Aug 2010. This made the steering a lot easier without it being too light. I think Power Steering is now available from the factory on new cars. Also, it did suffer with leaks on the knees when driving in very wet weather. And yes, I did have the hood up! The only other modification that I had was a Centre Console with Armrest and 12V socket fitted over the transmission tunnel. I did 13,000 miles in the car, which I will never forget. I still go out to see Morgan rallies whenever possible, and I am still a member of the MSCC and receive their monthly magazine Miscellany and keep up to date with all the changes, news etc. I do wish I could still have a Morgan as a second car, but I use my car all the time and needed a different type of classic British car. I will always be a member of the Morgan community. Regards,

Roger,
nice Aston...but I suspect you will return to the Mog World at some point. It is a addiction/diesase, just don't wait as long as last time for your next fix!
I got my first Morgan at 61...your right, it isn't the most comfortable car in the world. But I do have the use of SWMBO's Mercedes E350 CDI Coupe, so warm dry but quick comfort is always available.

Nice AM Roger, I'm the same age as you and while I can still easily get in and out of my Morgans I'm sure the time will come when something a bit more easy to get in and out of and is more comfortable will be required. A Porsche is on the list but I saw a very nice Merc 300SL R107 yesterday and was quite taken with it.

Hi  Roger Having owned a DB7 which I loved I can understand why you brought an AM, one of the best built cars I have owned, and superb service from the factory. Enjoy.
