Have you change your radiator on a PLUS 4? The clearance is very narrow, what is the procedure in order to extract it?

I'm pretty sure someone has done this and there is a thread somewhere on the site.

Not found. Found on an other french forum for a 4/4, by underneath, but on a PLUS 4 the radiator seems larger. If somebody did it and can provide lessons learned.
Just sent my email to STUMOG.

Have you change your radiator on a PLUS 4? When the radiator in my 2005 Plus 4 was replaced the bonnet and cowl were removed, so I assume it was replaced from above.

CBY, I replaced mine with a larger Mulfab radiator. It went upwards with a bit of a wiggle but was not difficult to do.

Radiator removed and re-cored on 81 4/4, pulled again for engine out /clutch replacement. Also pulled radiator on 71 Plus 8. I have always done this from the top, removing the cowl. A bit fiddly but doable. Once the cowl is off, it's not hard.
It may be possible to it from the bottom but I have never tried.

Thank you all for your answers,
it seems than the cowl must be off for the PLUS 4. Somes do it underneath, I guess in the case of 4/4 which radiator is smaller; I phoned to a 4/4 friend who measures it : 35x35x5 cm (alu). After there is the roadster where it seems to have much room between the motor and the radiator : 3 cylinder length vs 4 for the 2L Duratec.
To meabh : is it a PLUS 4? Do you take out the fan first?
