I'm absolutely with Micheal on this, we in the UK also have roads which have deteriorated beyond being reasonable, and the Three Wheeler, in standard form is hateful, and dangerous - given that one could be driving along a narrowish, but bumpy 2 lane road at say 50 - 60 mph, with a car or truck coming the other way, and if you are unlucky enough to hit a bump, the car could go in either direction. If a Three Wheeler hasn't had an accident like this, then it is more luck than design, however with a very simple modification, the whole thing can be improved and the car is then such a sweet handling thing. It is very apparent that Morgan, as a company, have, for many years let their customers sort out the issues, which cannot be a good thing for customer relations and good will, which they have and desperately need to retain. I sincerely hope that the new regime, led by Steve Morris change this outlook.
Again, Micheal has hit the nail on the head with the name 'Comfort Kit', it was just so cynical to call it that, and on top of everything, blame the American market for it, as if drivers in the States only want to waft around in large wallowy cars and the US owners were the only ones suffering due to bad initial design, which still to this day has only been partially fixed, there are still huge amounts of camber change, which affect mid corner roadholding and steering feel. Why they didn't change the top wishbone mounting points as part of the 2014m review I really do not know. The cost at the manufacturing stage would be minimal, just a matter of deciding what was required and changing the jig and redesigning the upper wishbone, as Empire racing have done with their kit.
Sorry guys, rant over, but it is stuff like this that causes us, the paying customers, to have ulcers and sleepless nights.

What I have surmised, as well as others, is that when these roads were built, usually not from scratch but by paving over existing dirt tracks, no one had any idea that they would be as travelled as they became or by such large heavy vehicles. As for the tax, we pay them in fuel taxes. Then the states raid those funds for other pressing needs, then what happens is called deferred maintenance, the most expensive kind... Many of the roads I have travelled on around here started out as 'chip-seal' type where the existing track was smoothed, had gravel added to it and packed then a slurry of hot tar to finish. Then more asphalt was added over the years and rolled out and slowly built up. This does not a great road make... Drainage was spotty and no one went deep enough to prevent frost heaves. Around here that is 7 feet down!
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

feel free to pay my state taxes out here in san francisco california. it's a never ending skull f*cking. before i had the morgan i would get more frustrated but when i got the morgan and starting driving it on all the brilliant costal routes the money starts to feel well spent I suppose the roads are so bad because we pay such low road tax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ref the state of the roads: what about bikers, they are more at risk?
As someone who pays in excess of £1000 per year into the vehicle taxation, I find the lack of investment in roads appalling. They are steeling our money.
