Started a list of things I need to do which includes the rear mudguard and insulation.
I have looked on eBay for a mudguard and found a stainless steel cover for the spare wheel of a 4x4, this would need to be cut in half and brackets made.
Can anyone advise the supplier of the mudguard which they have used. Would plastic be better than steel? Also any details of where to purchase the insulation material would be appreciated.

insulation material?...insulation for what?

I went into a local trailer supplies shop and bought a plastic mudguard to fit a 15" wheel. I bolted it to the little ali. guard at the front end, and made a bracket from side to side screwed into the wooden frame at the rear, with just one small bolt to hold the guard. A little fiddly, but not difficult.

I have a theory that Morgan do not fit a guard as they like to encourage owners to bond with the little fellow early on. It's a bit like clearing up the poo that a new puppy leaves on your lounge carpet. When it starts chewing the furniture and curtains, it is certainly a test of loyalty, just like needing new engines, exhaust bevels and compensators is.

In fact, I think we have more reason to refer to the little chap as a puppy than anyone.

Does yours have a name? [Other than 'Morgan' of course.]

Plastic is better than steel for noise. Much easier to work with.

I've used insulation for noise from the rear. You can't eliminate it since all the stuff making noise is open to the road below and bounces.

Here is a photo of my rear mud guard just after I had installed it. I have since added some spacers and a different bracket to get the mud guard closer to the tire to further contain the road dirt. 15" radius 8.5" width plastic trailer mudguard from Peak Trailer in England. Cost something like £13 but shipping to the states was £60.

There is a whole thread on similar mudguards, I wanted the Indispension plastic one so it could move and noted it to the swinging arm.

I think when you mention insulation you mean DynaMat or Fatmat noise insulation. I have a roll and hope to fit behind and below the seats. Blake is they Daddy when it comes to insulating his car, look up his threads.

If you are applying sound proofing behind the seats also get dynamat aluminium tape to seal the gaps behind the seats. Mat & tape from ebay.

I posted some information about 2 years ago on various mods I did to my M3W. I insulated the area behind the seats, extended the mudguard etc.

Here is a few photos of my set up, I removed the aluminium mud deflector altogether.
